A Die Hard Christmas (2017)

Written By: Doogie Horner

Synopsis: A delightful Christmas storybook for adults based on the action-packed Die Hard movie All John McClane wants for Christmas is to reunite with his estranged family. But when his wife’s office holiday party turns into a deadly hostage situation, he has to save her life before he can get home in time for Christmas! …

Review: MAN!! this book kicked so much ass! After all it’s Die Hard!! A quick disclaimer to all dad’s out there be warned even though it has colorful images and is very poetic it’s not for your children, a result in reading this too your child may have you on the sofa and quite possibly revoke your right to watch the essential christmas actioner.

The book covers all the main parts of the movie and it is done so well, the writing and flow of the poetry is on point. Author Doogie Horner really draws you in with his re-telling of Die Hard in the form of ‘Twas The Night Before Christmas’. You will find yourself chuckling and reading out some of the movie quotes used in the book aloud, mimicking them in a typical McClane fashion. The illustrations are awesome and spot on for each character, kudos and hats off to JJ Harrison for his amazing artwork.

Overall I would recommend this too anyone. It’s such a fun read and a new take on classic movie and a classic Christmas poem. Like myself I am sure along with the movie of Die Hard, this book will become part of the yearly tradition.
