A Quiet Place 2 (2021) Review

Synopsis: Following the deadly events at home, the Abbott family must now face the terrors of the outside world as they continue their fight for survival in silence. Review: A Quiet Place 2 is once again helmed by John Krasinski, who expands the universe he has created and delivers more action in this eerie and tense sequel.

Emily Blunt delivers an outstanding performance as she now takes the reigns to lead and keep her family safe. Millicent Simmons steals the show, she has such a promising future ahead of her in the industry. Cillian Murphy is reluctant hero Emmett who is living life as a recluse since losing his whole family throughout this ordeal. Cillian Murphy is an awesome actor and he shines in the lead role, he has a natural aura of a badass about him.

The movie itself, like stated at the beginning as the tense and eerie and is a worthy sequel to the first instalment. This movie opts for a little more monster action and the body count is higher. The monsters are just as big a threat and getting to see them wipe out groups is a blink and you miss it moment, they move incredibly quick and waste no time in eliminating anything in their path.

Some noteworthy intense scenes involve a bear trap, where a character gets caught and screams out in pain, the scene will have you in the edge of your seat and biting your nails and the acting felt all to real. Though that is the case throughout the movie, everyone is stellar and delivers a performance that has you fully engaged.
Another standout scene was the dock attack, which featured some creature ‘slice and dice’ action.

Overall A Quiet Place 2 is a worthy sequel and lives up to the original in every way. The tension and suspense is at an all time high and you will probably have mild heart palpitations for a while after the credits roll. A Quiet Place 2 delivers a continuing story of a family fighting for survival and a now apocalyptic world, where to keep your baby safe you have to keep it in a box with an oxygen tank, there are no heroes that can defeat the odds, everyone is struggling and death can literally be one branch snap away.

This sequel is a must see!
