Review: Its not very often you find a great slasher movie these days, but here we have found a pure gem of a movie. Hell Fest is produced by the same people behind The Walking Dead which caught my attention and made me initially decide to invest time into the movie.

I was plasently surprised this movie had likeable characters that we could relate too, There wasn’t any horror movie cliché characters that we generally role our eyes at and we end up generally caring for the characters. The killer on the loose is simply known as ‘The Other’ which we find out through the credits. The movie reminded me a lot of the first Halloween, especially ‘The Other’, who was silent, scary and intimerdating. The only time he made noise was when he would whistle a tune, which was eerily creepy.

Being a slahser movie I expected unrealistic blood and guts. This wasn’t the case and I am glad of it, every would inflicted looked realistic and had brutal effect, saying that though the movie hasn’t a high body count and relies more on tension and suspense which has you gripped and eyes glued to the screen the entire time.

Overall verdict, if you like horror movies, slasher movies or suspenseful edge of your seat tension filled movies then check this out!! Awesome horror movie and one that brings back the old school vibe of classic slasher!
