Directed By: Benny Chan

Starring: Donnie Yen, Nicolas Tse

Synopsis: Shan (Donnie Yen) is a highly respected hardline cop with a long history of success on dangerous cases. However, his past unexpectedly comes back to haunt him when a sting operation is attacked by a mysterious group of criminals led by Ngo (Nicholas Tse), his former protégé, a talented former officer who had once respected and admired Shan. However, a terrible mistake three years prior landed him in prison, quickly turning the once rising star into a furious man with a grudge, and the will to destroy everyone who had wronged him—including his former mentor.

Review: Benny Chan’s final movie finally hits theatres today and it delivers blistering action at a breakneck pace.

The movies opening action scene doesn’t feature Donnie at all yet it sets the tone of the movie and shows us what the bad guys are capable of. Nicolas Tse plays Ngo, watching Nicolas and Donnie go head to head, playing a cat and mouse game throughout the movie gave off vibes from Heat which featured De Niro and Pacino, we even get a shootout which is quite similar to the one at the end of Heat.

A highlight featuring Donnie Yen is a scene he single-handedly goes into a big-time kingpins favela type hold up, which results in an impressive action sequence, fans of Benny Chan will love the way he shoots these action scenes as every hit is seen and practically felt, there is no shoddy editing or disastrous cuts to be seen. Fans of Donnie will be in awe at the fact the man hasn’t aged whatsoever and the speed he moves at is incredible, you will be out of breath watching him.

With every action scene you are treated to an impressive spectacle, Benny Chan went all out to make sure every action scene was unique and held up in its own respective way.

The finale of Raging Fire is every bit as epic as you would expect when Donnie Yen and Nicolas Tse go toe to toe in a climactic battle.

Raging Fire is a fast-paced thrilling action movie with Donnie Yen back in his finest form and Nicolas Tse stealing every scene as villain Ngo. Raging Fire is the must-see action thriller of the summer!
