Sniper: G.R.I.T. – Global Response & Intelligence Team expands the scope of the long-running Sniper franchise by introducing a new international strike force and pushing the story onto a global stage. Directed by Oliver Thompson, this tenth entry moves Brandon Beckett away from lone-wolf missions and into the center of a coordinated elite unit.
Chad Michael Collins once again returns as Brandon Beckett, now an ace sniper whose reputation has earned him a place in the newly formed Global Response & Intelligence Team, or G.R.I.T. Led by Colonel Stone, played by Dennis Haysbert, the team is assembled to respond rapidly to global threats that traditional intelligence agencies cannot handle.
The mission quickly becomes personal when a dangerous terrorist cult kidnaps one of Beckett’s allies—Lady Death. With international stability hanging in the balance, Beckett and the G.R.I.T. unit deploy to Malta to infiltrate the cult, rescue their teammate, and eliminate its mysterious leader before the situation spirals into global chaos.
Ryan Robbins returns as Agent Zero, continuing the partnership that developed in earlier films. Zero brings a tactical boots-on-the-ground energy that balances Beckett’s sniper precision. Meanwhile, Lady Death—played this time by Luna Fujimoto—remains one of the franchise’s most intriguing characters, shifting between deadly assassin and uneasy ally.
What makes G.R.I.T. stand out from previous installments is its focus on teamwork. Earlier films often placed Beckett in isolated sniper duels or covert solo missions, but this entry emphasizes coordinated operations with a specialized strike team. The change injects fresh energy into the series while allowing for larger-scale action and more varied combat scenarios.
The Malta setting also gives the film a cinematic backdrop. Historic fortresses, narrow coastal streets, and sun-baked landscapes create a visually striking stage for the film’s firefights and infiltration missions, lending the story a stronger international espionage feel.
Despite the expanded scale, the core appeal of the series remains intact: tense sniper tactics, calculated action, and Brandon Beckett’s steady hand behind the scope. Collins continues to anchor the franchise with a confident performance that reflects the character’s evolution from impulsive Marine to seasoned operative.
In the end, Sniper: G.R.I.T. feels like a deliberate evolution for the series. By introducing a global response team and raising the stakes beyond a single mission, it positions the franchise for a broader future while still delivering the precise, trigger-tight action fans expect.
The rifle may still be Beckett’s weapon of choice—but this time, he’s not fighting alone.
