BLACK ADAM!
It is no secret that Dwayne Johnson is deeply passionate about Black Adam. He got into impressive shape to play the title character. To further embody the character, Johnson has also put in tremendous effort to study the comics and the history of Black Adam.
Despite mixed reviews, Black Adam is definitely a fun movie. As a character, Black Adam is very likable, and the movie never becomes boring or disengaging. As Black Adam awakens after 5000 years, the world has changed and he has to adapt to the modern world and its people. He faces some interesting challenges as he navigates through the complexities of the 21st century, making the story engaging and captivating. However, some fans were disappointed with the action in Black Adam, feeling that it was too chaotic and not well-choreographed.
Brosnan and Hodge are perfectly cast
A crucial difference between Black Adam and other heroes is his willingness to kill. Doctor Fate, played by Pierce Brosnan, leads the Justice Society in trying to contain Black Adam after he racks up a hefty body count. Dr. Fate is a captivating character, and Pierce Brosnan as always brings so much charm to the role. Watching Pierce again in an action movie was amazing. The time has come for him to return as an aged James Bond or do November Man 2! Black Adam’s willingness to kill makes him stand out from other heroes, and that makes him a formidable foe. Dr. Fate’s presence and Pierce Brosnan’s commanding performance make the movie even more enjoyable and exciting. His return to the action genre reminds us how talented he is and why he’s still an icon in the entertainment industry.
The casting of Aldis Hodge as Hawkman was brilliant. He was the complete opposite of Black Adam, which is where they clashed. However, as the movie went on it was clear they were developing an understanding and respect for one another. There was a fight between the two characters that was a highlight of the film. Their fight was not only a spectacle for viewers, but it also served to show the audience the developing relationship between Hawkman and Black Adam. This shows how they moved from foes to allies. Hodge looked like he would be a fantastic addition to the DCEU franchise, which has now been disbanded.
Superman Returns!
Henry Cavill returns as Superman in the final scene, which created a huge buzz for the sequel! Although Cavill’s return as Superman would have been the cherry on top, DCEU disbanded as mentioned above. Black Adam would have been great to compete with Zack Snyder’s Justice League and the cast alone would have made the movie stand out, I mean just take a look at it…Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Gal Gadot, Jason Mamoa, Dwayne Johnson, Aldis Hodge, Ezra Miller, Ray Fisher, Jeremy Irons, Diane Lane and J.K. Simmons. That’s only the immediate cast, it would have been the biggest DC movie ever! Adam vs Superman would have literally shook the earth and exploded the tectonic plates.
Verdict
As a bookend to this era of DC Superhero movies, Black Adam is an explosive addition to the DCEU. In our anti-hero learning to be a hero, Dwayne Johnson kicks ass. Black Adam and his actions are fully supported by the story and there are plenty of action set pieces to keep viewers hooked. The heart that went into the movie is evident on the screen. Maybe there will be a sequel someday. Meanwhile, Black Adam will go down as one of the most iconic DC Superheroes in recent memory and a testament to Dwayne Johnson’s acting prowess.
The action in Black Adam is explosive, and Dwayne Johnson is playing one of his most creative roles to date. It would be great to see Bransnan and Hodge reprise their roles as Doctor Fate and Hawkman in the rebooted DCEU soon to be announced.
