Synopsis: Members of the crypto-zoological agency Monarch face off against a battery of god-sized monsters, including the mighty Godzilla, who collides with Mothra, Rodan, and his ultimate nemesis, the three-headed King Ghidorah. When these ancient super-species-thought to be mere myths-rise again, they all vie for supremacy, leaving humanity’s very existence hanging in the balance.

Review: Critics have been panning it… Dudes it’s a movie centred around a giant radioactive Dino-monster. ‘Nuff said about that.

This sequel to the 2014 Godzilla movie ups the notch by a thousand and we are treated to a truly awesome Godzilla movie. We are treated to a roster of monster titans this time around and they all look so spectacular and each gets their own segment to shine and show us their true power.

The battle scenes are visually stunning and leave you in awe, the special effects are insane and take your breath away. When Godzilla has his first bout with King Ghidorah it sent goosebumps up my arms and the hairs stood on ends, it was truly an epic moment. I also loved the sound of Godzilla charging up his thermal blast it got me cheering and full blown excited. I have to admit King Ghidorah is a true ass kicker and delivered his fair share of damage to Godzilla, he was truly menacing to watch and every time he appeared you knew he was going to do some major damage. Mothra and Roden are introduced and leave their own unique mark in the film.

I remember while watching the 2014 Godzilla the camera always panned away when it was about to get interesting, we don’t get much of thatyy here, we are treated to some BIG destructive fight scenes that truly shatter the earth, the scale of these fights are all so big and the final fight does not fail to deliver in anyway!! Godzilla shows us why he is the king or should I say God when he goes full throttle nuke mode and nothing could ever stand in his way.

We also have a human based story running alongside all the Godzilla carnage which focuses on a family played by Kyle Chandler, Vera Farmiga, Millie Bobby Brown. Their lives were torn apart by the attack in the previous movie. At first Kyle Chandlers character hates Godzilla and wants him dead, until he sees the devestation King Ghidorah unleashes and they realise Godzilla is their only saviour. Vera Farmiga’s character has been driven to the brink and thinks the titans can restore balance to the world, she borders onto the semi-bad guy-ish role at times, good intentions but bad acts of play, and Millie Bobby Brown is there daughter who is caught up in the middle of everything happening.

The movie is amazing, totally worth a ticket price, Blu Ray price or Digital cost when released. With stunning CGI, amazing special effects especially with the destruction of cities, beautifully sculpted monsters that look truly terrifying and a cracking music score, Godzilla is a must see!!
