To escape, she must finish the game with a little help from her not-so-savvy friend on the outside…or remain a 16-bit character forever.
Review: Scott Adkins returns to our screens with kickass sci-fi comedy Max Cloud.
Max Cloud is a movie you instantly can see Van Damme starring in back in the day, everythingthe comedic tone, the super tight suit, the music and of course the martial arts is all throwback to a classic era and it is all captured perfectly.
What makes the movie fun is that you can see Scott is having a blast playing Max Cloud who is what you can picture a life like Buzz Lightyear being like. Max is big brash and in your face and you can’t help but love him. The movie doesn’t take itself serious at all and with a UK 12 rating it’s a good way introduce a younger generation to Scott Adkins.
The supporting cast are amazing and one highlight was Tommy Flanagan as the Bounty Hunter who would be such a cool spin-off movie.
John Hannah plays our lead villain and is having a complete hoot hamming it up to the most extreme levels, you can tell he is enjoying the ride.
Isabelle Allen plays our gamer Sarah who is transported into the game and has to rely on her best friend Cowboy (Franz Drameh) to get through each level and make it out the game alive. Both characters are very likeable and we watch both of there characters develop throughout the movie.
When we first meet Sarah she has quite an obsession to the Max Cloud game which causes tension between her and her father, but we later understand his reasons for not being onboard with her gaming habits.
Overall Max Cloud is a fun Adkins adventure and is worth the watch!
