Synopsis: Every six years, an ancient order of jiu-jitsu fighters joins forces to battle a vicious race of alien invaders. But when a celebrated war hero goes down in defeat, the fate of the planet and mankind hangs in the balance.
Review: Jiu Jitsu is a high octane, high kicking adrenaline ride that is filled with breathtaking fight scenes.
Jiu Jitsu has an ensemble cast where no character is wasted! Nicolas Cage gets to tear up the screen as battle worn Wylie, who along with his trusty samurai sword take on the lead villain from another dimension Brax in a fast-paced showdown that keeps you locked to the screen.
One of many highlight fights from the movie has to be Tony Jaa’s intro fight. It’s full on elbows and knees dropping everyone that gets in his way, it then switches the fight to a first person prospective which was such an awesome touch.
Rick Yune gets to throwdown and kick some ass, he doesn’t nearly get enough action orientated roles! Which is a shame as he has such badass screen presence!
Juju Chan another familiar face in the action world shows once again she can hang with the best and is proving to be such a dominant force in the genre! This eras Michelle Yeoh!
Not to forget another ass kicker who throws down with Purgers and has battled an alien or two before, Frank Grillo. Frank is his usual kick ass self and you can tell he is having a great time working with the cast on this movie.
Mareese Crump gets to show some incredible skills of his and gets a very fast-paced fight scene that is off the charts! Mareese was last seen going toe to toe with Michael Jai White in Welcome To Sudden Death. Mareese would make the perfect Blade for a reboot.
Jiu Jitsu is Predator meets Mortal Kombat, a pulse pounding edge of your seat thrill-ride!
