Review: Dolph Lundgren returns to our screens in The Tracker. I was excited to see this movie as one, I love Dolph Lundgren movies and would be a big fan, owning I think all of his filmography and two, the synopsis seemed like we would get a complete one man army Lundgren.
I have to say the movie wouldn’t be one to show if you were introducing someone to Dolph Lundgren. The plot looks well on paper but the execution isn’t what you would expect. It’s plays more like an afternoon TV thriller. The fight scenes aren’t too well choreographed and seem to be thrown together as quickly as possible. There are some shootouts which aren’t really exciting and the finale isn’t too memorable either.
Overall I would say this is one for Lundgren fans only and at that I think they may even find themselves distracted. The pacing is very slow and by the time anything significant kicks off, interest has long gone. I feel bad for giving Dolph such a negative review, but even he looked bored. It was disappointing to see Dolph in this after the likes of Aquaman and Creed 2. Let’s look forward to either Expendables 4 or The International (A new series Starring Lundgren and produced by Sylvester Stallone) for a proper dose of our Lundgren fix.
