Review: The long awaited sequel to Bad Boys 2 is finally here!! 17 years later. Was it worth the wait you ask? The answer is a big YES!!

Martin Lawrence and Will Smith return and it’s like they never left our screens, the chemistry is still there and the way they bounce off eachother is nothing short of magic. Heading into this movie I thought that the new AMMO team would take more center stage, leading to an eventual spin off. My thoughts were put at ease as it’s focused on Smith and Lawrence. Though Smith does have the majority of the screen time this time around.

Our new additions of AMMO were actually quite a fun unit too watch and I did actually end up wanting too see more of them as the credits rolled. So an eventual spin off would be welcomed by me.

This time around Adil and Bilall take the directors seat and they do deliver a solid action movie and keep the tone and action in par with the previous installments. The action set pieces are awesome and we get our slow-mo shots of bad assery of the guys in action and we also get a very cool car chase on a highway.

Martin Lawrence was hilarious and it was great too see him back on the big screen. Will Smith has never really left us, but he is showing us he still has the teeth for the action genre with this movie and his previous release Gemini Man.

The big bad in this entry wasn’t entirely as menacing as the ones in the previous installments but would probably be deadlier in every way. The whole set up of the villains was good and their back story kept unravelling as the movie went on, which always lead too more revelations.

The movie has been left open for a fourth movie and from what I hear that’s exactly what they plan on doing. The franchise has hit an all time record at the box office so another installment is going to be with us sooner rather than later.

Overall I would say take your ass too the cinema and watch this! A sequel worth the wait!
